We need to save the Church and restore it to its former glory

As you will see from the image above, the clock and the roof are in urgent need of repair. Apart from the danger to the historic fabric to the interior, it is also a public health risk if it gets much worse. St Thomas the Martyr remains a living, worshipping Church, not to mention of wide interest to cultural enthusiasts. It never fails to captivate pilgrims, visitors and tourists alike. This is what makes the task of saving the building so vital.

And so the immediate need is to raise

£30,000 for roof repairs

and

£25,000 for the restoration of the clock

Historic England has placed St Thomas the Martyr (which is Grade II listed) on its ‘at risk’ register.
